1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using AdalCheck (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is operated by Esential LLC, located in Sunnyvale, CA.

2. Description of Service

AdalCheck is an AI-powered tool that helps users check the halal status of food products by scanning barcodes and analyzing ingredient lists. The App provides informational results based on available data and AI analysis.

3. Disclaimer of Accuracy

AdalCheck is an informational tool, not a religious authority. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated results may contain errors. The halal status provided is based on ingredient analysis and publicly available data — it does not constitute a formal halal certification. Always consult a qualified Islamic scholar or certified halal authority for definitive rulings.

4. User Accounts & Subscriptions

• You may use limited features of the App without an account.
• Certain features require a paid subscription, managed through Apple's App Store. Subscription terms, pricing, and renewal policies are displayed at the time of purchase.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or abuse free trial offers.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise automatically access the App or its data.
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell any part of the App or its content.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of AdalCheck — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and AI models — are the exclusive property of Esential LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Esential LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, without limitation, damages resulting from reliance on halal status information provided by the App.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Esential LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Santa Clara County, California.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
